I.T. Roadshows

The Roadshow incorporates a series of seminars which will be held around Australia and is meant to assist aged care providers to better understand how IT and electronic commerce may, if implemented appropriately, improve the efficiency of your service and improve business outcomes.

The days events include a series of papers looking at the pros and cons that providers should keep in mind in implementing particular packages and how some facilities have made their decisions and the pitfalls to be avoided.

Objectives of roadshow:

  • Education - to educate the aged care sector regarding the benefits and efficiencies to be gained from appropriate use of IT
  • Promotion - to promote the opportunities that IT can provide to improve service delivery
  • Encouragement - to encourage the take up of IT and to emphasise the partnership between the Commonwealth and the sector
  • Networking - to create opportunities for both information and formal networking across the sector
